THOMAS PUTTICK, ONE OF UK’S HOTTEST DESIGNERS, INTERPRETED THE GLOBAL TREND OF COLOR BLUSH AND FLORAL PRINTS ON HIS VERY OWN WAY.
This year’s Fashion Week in Sydney at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia was well supported by KMS stylists. The amazing hair styles from the Thomas Puttick show were created by Shane Henning from Noddy’s on King and his team, creating decidedly but effortlessly “undone” looks.
“We explored blush as a focus color this season. I found it a refreshing color within this maximalist moment. I was excited to use a beautiful and abstract French lace as well as locally printed silk satin floral story. An Italian metallic pinstripe wool creates subtlety within a shimmering tailored moment and I have spent a lot of time working on the perfect cotton shirt. I ran an embroidery petal stitch throughout the
collection to reference the floral prints in my other fabrications and also
explored a wrapped and undone cuff throughout.” Thomas Puttick – Designer.
The amazing fashion was completed by stunning hair styles. Shane Henning and his team created decidedly but effortlessly “undone” looks, which perfectly underlinded the natural beauty of each of the models.
“Pulled off the face but softened around the edges, styles were tailored to suit the individual personality and beauty of each woman.” Shane Henning - Lead Stylist.
Create this fashion week hairstyle easily by yourself by applying KMS ADDVOLUME Styling Foam to palm and scrunch into the roots of the hair. To create natural volume Blow dry the hair upwards. Working from the nape, lightly spray each section with KMS THERMASHAPE 2-in-1 Spray. Loosely curl hair in vertical sections using curling wand to keep curls random and achieve a beachy textured result. Separate the curls and pull all the hair back into a low ponytail using a elastic to secure into place. Lightly pull out hair pieced around the hairline and nape to soften.
For a clean and natural end result wrap a piece of hair around the elastic and secure it with a bobby pin. Finish with KMS HAIRPLAY Playable Texture, using fingers to emphasise texture throughout the head. Because at the end of the day – style matters.
Royalty, punk, high tea and High Street all merge together, creating a unique style that is truly London. Walking the streets of London, you feel like the style you see could never work in any other city. Even though nothing is off-limits, the style still feels though-through and perfectly fitting to the person who’s wearing it.
